Between December and January three friends quit their jobs. Over the previous year and a half they had spent their free time laying the groundwork for their new company, Shoefitr. The three Carnegie Mellon grads have used an expensive proprietary technology to measure hundreds of shoes and build a database of shoe sizes. Shoefitr is a platform used to translate the true fit of shoes across brands and models. The potential is to get consumers the right shoe the first time and save on shipping costs.
