PITTSBURGH — Most of us have been through a graduation day. Most of us haven’t spent graduation day asking strangers for six-figure investments.
But that’s how six start-up companies that just completed a development cycle at AlphaLab, Pittsburgh’s almost 5-year-old business accelerator, spent last Thursday: presenting their new companies to media types, members of the the region’s business community and dozens of potential investors assembled in the New Hazlett Theater on the North Side.
